City of Fog on Flickr.
Via Flickr:
The sunset I saw last night must have been the most epic sunset I have ever seen. To top off all the color, we had low fog and high clouds. I can’t tell you how many times I have dreamed of this shot. There was too much color! I ran into +David Yu up there who I am sure will be posting some epicness later. I dedicate this photo for Mothers Day!
*Note: If you end up going to this spot be careful and if you feel bad vibes, leave and go to a lower or higher spot. A local photographer friend went here this morning and luckily left the spot cause of bad vibes and went lower. 5 minutes after he left he heard gun shots and a guy was killed. Just be careful as it’s not like the typical touristy spots around the Golden Gate Bridge.

The Bay Lights sure had a beautiful backdrop to this beautiful city.
This is a 3 shot 32bit HDR. I used Photomatix Pro’s, Lightroom Plugin. Then brought it into Nik’s Color Efex Pro 4 to give it some jazz and finished the rest off with Lightroom.

Battery Crosby Cove on Flickr.
Via Flickr:
I don’t know if there is a name for this spot. It is between Marshall Beach and Baker Beach. It requires a very sketchy hike/climb down a cliff to access, unless really low tide to walk around.
I have had my eye on this cove every time I would go to Marshall Beach, but the climb down never looked doable. Last night when I was headed down to Marshall I saw the tides lower and looking down into this cove I could see all sorts of cool rock formations. I had to do it. I noticed a route that was doable and I made it down pretty easy. I guess it was going up in the dark that made me think twice about going down here!
This was an awkward one. I need to get as wide as I could and far back, but if you saw where I was standing, it wasn’t doable. Maybe if I came down from above to get a higher angle.
I used my LEE Filters, a .9 Soft ND Grad for 131 Seconds, F/16 at ISO 50. Process with Nik Software’s Color Efex Pro 4 and Lightroom 4.

Moments on Flickr.
Via Flickr:
A picture is a moment for me. Everyday I try and get out and experience these moments, no matter where it is, I just have to be somewhere.
Today I headed to Sutro Baths because the clouds decided to come back to the Bay. The past few days have been to hot and boring clear blue skies. When I got to Sutro Baths I knew I had to venture further over towards the Land Ends cliffs. The clouds and the rocks were playing pretty nicely for me.
This shot is 136 seconds at f/16 ISO 50. Canon 17-40mm f/4 L, LEE Big Stopper and .9 Soft Graduated Filter, Induro CT214 tripod. Processed with Nik’s Color Efex Pro 4.

Last night I went to a spot I found out from my buddy TIA INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY. And this was quite the spot in many directions. I did some timelasping, panoramas and so on. City Hall was lit up Blue but it kept going in and out. This one does not show the blue. -Happy Friday!
