Here is a shot from Eastern Point in Gloucester, MA which is just outside of Boston. We were in the area watching the Bluefin Blowout Tuna Tournament, which was also being filmed by National Geographic for their show, Wicked Tuna. It was all new to me, as I am no fisherman. We got their the first day just in time, as one team just brought in a 406 pound tuna. But the winning team caught a 582 pound tuna on day 2 to win a $9,000 prize. Only 2 Tuna’s where caught the whole tournament.
So after smelling fish for to long, we decided to chase some sunsets around this lighthouse. There were a bunch of spots I wanted to shoot here, it was an awesome area. I spent probably 10 minutes or so trying to find a composition though. Had a little bit of artists block I guess! This is a 5 shot HDR from just before the sunset. You can even see a Pirate Ship off in the distance at sea. After I decided I wanted a water foreground, so we headed in the other direction to get further out on these rocks.
